Sugarpova has been sighted!

The soon-to-be launched gummy candy from tennis icon Maria Sharapova was seen in the store front of IT’S SUGAR store at 1870 Broadway on 61st street on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

The candy will be officially launched on August 20.

To learn more about the candy, go to www.Sugarpova.com where you can sign up to their mailing list to receive more information.

Sharapova won the French Open women’s singles title in June to complete a “Career Grand Slam” of winning all four majors in her career, to go with her 2004 Wimbledon title, her 2006 US Open title and her 2008 Australian Open title. She also won the silver medal in women’s singles at the recent London Olympic Games, losing to Serena Williams in the gold medal match.

Forbes magazine has rated her as the highest paid woman in professional sports for the last eight years. She earned an estimated $27.1 million from July 2011-July 2012, according to Forbes, with most of the income coming from off-court business dealings.

Sharapova will look for the fifth major singles title of her career at the US Open, that begins August 27 in New York.
